Foodies from the start.
Vita Cucina chefs, Devon and Michelle Morgante began their food service careers early on.
Devon has worked at such places as, Mustards Grill, The Inn at Occidental, Feast and Willow Wood. Michelle has worked at the Sonoma Mission Inn, Stars, Auberge du Soleil, Brix, Feast, Michelle Marie's Patisserie, and Denver's historic Brown Palace.
Yet, working for prestigious restaurants was only the beginning for these two dedicated "foodies".
After pursuing formal educations in the Culinary Arts at one of the country's top Culinary institutions, the Culinary Institute of America, they found themselves taking on an epic Antarctic adventure.
Being chefs at McMurdo Station, Antartica - one of the world's most remote and hostile environments - added an unusual and fascinating experience to their culinary skills.
From "the Ice" to the sea - After their experience in Antarctica, Devon and Michelle settled in the beautiful Northern California area where they started a family and developed a plan to open a restaurant.
Vita Cucina officially opened it's doors as a dine-in and take-out restaurant in September 2011.
Since opening the doors to Vita Cucina, Devon and Michelle have held true to their dream of creating delicious and healthy foods for their community.
Vita Cucina uses locally sourced and organic ingredients whenever possible, hand crafting each item on their menu. Breads, cakes and pastries are made from scratch, meats are cured in house and seasonal specials are offered regularly.
